County Commission Agenda – Old Business: Ad Hoc Reappraisal Committee Recommendations Action Plan

Presentation that will provide an overview of the Assessment Department’s Action Plan to implement the Ad Hoc Reappraisal Committee Recommendations.

A month ago, the GAP report for 9/19/22 included a “yellow” concern to request demographic data from the County Assessor and the Board of Equalization and Review so that potential inequities in the property assessment process can be identified. We have not identified anything in the Presentation that mentions demographic info, except for neighborhood identification, which is not adequate.

Things to do

We encourage you to reach out to the Buncombe County Commission via their contact page and encourage them to ask for demographic data from the County Assessor and the Board of Equalization & Review so that potential inequities in the property assessment process can be identified.
